Tennis Court Construction: What You Need to Decide For Tennis Court Construction
Tennis court constriction has become very high tech, with building professionals using software and lasers to build courts as it is facing larger demands from the commercial sector and the private sector. Many facilities, ranging from hotels and health clubs are ordering tennis courts, and homeowners are increasingly choosing to add tennis courts to their properties.

When selecting tennis court construction methods and types of tennis courts, a number of factors first need to be considered. Tennis court construction tends to be affected by the location of the court, the soil at the site, the amount of expected use of the tennis court, and the climate where the court will be built. Of course, budget is also a consideration. There are a number of choices for the surface of the court. Outdoor courts tend to be built from clay, concrete, asphalt, or on grass. Clay courts are easier on joints but can slow down play. They also require lots of maintenance, such as watering, compacting, and sweeping, in order to prevent dust or cracks. Asphalt and concrete courts provide faster play and less maintenance. They can be less expensive, but they are also harder on the joints. With exposure to the elements, these courts will need to be resurfaced as cracks and other imperfections develop. Grass courts are cheapest to create, but they react to weather, becoming muddy in rains and icy in snow. They need to be regularly maintained. They also slow down play and are softest on joints.
