| Tool Holders: Tool Holders, Pouches, and Everything in Between |
Tool holders have made construction work easier for centuries. Usually made of a dense hide such as leather or suede, these holders were created to increase a workman’s mobility. Today, these holders such as tool belts, cases, and pouches are created of tough vinyl, woven fabrics, and leathers.
Tool holders come in just about every shape, size, and use. Hammer loops, cell phone pouches, and full scale tool carrying cases can be found online and at retail stores. These holders can cost anywhere from a few dollars to more than one hundred depending on size and material. Knowing what you want your tool holder for and what you will need to do with it is important in making your purchase decision.
If you are a lineman and are going to be scaling poles, then you will need a leather tool holder, and preferably a smaller one to carry only your essentials. Belt type holders are probably best for this type of use. But if you are a mason, a vinyl or canvas holder may be more suitable, and one that is larger. Hammer loops and power tool hooks on a belt type tool holder are great for framing and other types of construction. If you use tools, there is a tool holder built for them.
